Question: Are you serving leftovers to a Holy God?
No, your flesh and your hypocritical self answered.
Let me put it plainly like this- as a direct choice between God and our stuff. As you know most of us will say I choose God, I’m crazy about Him, I love Jesus. But we need to realise that how we spend our time, money, energy is equivalent to choosing God or rejecting Him.
Understand this: when we are preoccupied with our selfish thoughts, goals/ambitions we drift downstream. We become blind, stripped naked of the garment that covers us and we turn into impoverished wretches.
So, decide today if you either want to give ALL to God or nothing. Stop living a lukewarm life and claiming Christ’s name simultaneously is utterly disgusting to God. Jesus said He will spit you out of His mouth.
Hear me clearly, because it is vital – in fact, there is nothing more important or eternal: Are you willing to say to God that He can have whatever He wants? Do you believe that wholehearted commitment to Him is more important than any other thing or person in your life? Do you know that nothing you do in life will ever matter, unless it is about loving God and His people He created?
Yes? Then let your bet match your talk. True faith means holding nothing back; it bets everything on the hope of eternity.
Serve God with all of you. Surrender all. It’s not easy, in fact it’s the hardest thing. Matthew 7:14 says “Now then that narrow door leads to a narrow road that in turn leads to life. It is hard to find that road. Not many people manage it.”
Life isn’t perfect when you follow God wholeheartedly, you will certainly have trouble but He has never been known for abandoning His own.
And lastly, don’t assume you are on that road already. Don’t assume you are the good soil; don’t assume you are one of the few on the narrow road.
