July: Remain

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

John 15:4 NIV

I am who I am today because of the choices I made yesterday.

– Eleanor Roosevelt

It has been a wonderful month I must say; a month of grace indeed! I mean I have been blessed in ways I cannot fathom. I have also found myself making some choices, both great and small… so I thought I’d write a word or two about the choices we make.

The choices we make are key to the priorities we practice.

From the first day we become born again, we’ve been trying to choose good over evil, better over good, and best over better. The importance of such choices cannot be overestimated or overemphasized. As we’ve all heard, if you want to know what you’ll be like in the future, just look at the choices you are making today. As now, so then! It’s something of a riddle. And so are these two thoughts:

“What you are today (based on the choices you’re making) is what you are becoming” and “You are today what you have been becoming (based on the choices you’ve already made).” Our choices, which reflect our priorities, will help us fulfill God’s design for our lives. Getting everything done-or deciding what doesn’t need to be done-is a matter of choice. Whether you are dealing with the next five minutes, the next hour, tomorrow, or forever, the choices you make all the difference in the world!

Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Remember to always ask God’s opinion first, it will make a huge difference.

James 1:5  says “if any of you lacks wisdom, ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to you.”

Lastly, the C’s of life: Choices, Chances, Changes. You must make a choice to take a chance or your life will never change.

Choose to overcome your limiting beliefs and achieve your goals. The choice is yours, choose life so that you may live.

God bless you,

Love, Dami xo

P.S. I Love You

Hello there, I’m happy you are here today. This is a quick reminder for the new week.

1 Peter 4:8b NLT

…for love covers a multitude of sins

“I just want someone to love me”, our deepest yearnings and longings is to be loved no matter what. Even a bad person wants to be loved. Love is what everyone craves for here on earth and even when we get to heaven, we all want to be accepted and loved in spite of our flaws. I believe you want to be loved despite of your imperfections too. A convicted murderer still wants to be loved by their family regardless of what they’ve done. We all yearn and long for LOVE no matter who we are, good or bad.

Sometimes, in this pursuit of love, we end up in places that will only end up hurting and creating a bigger void in our lives but as humans we don’t give up, we dust ourselves off, pick ourselves up and continue to run in pursuit of true love, searching and hoping someone will truly love us in defiance of all our mess.

We do crazy things to be accepted by others, we so want to be loved at all cost so we don’t mind to get into relationships we know so well won’t work. In the process we damage ourselves. We are now left with different problems such as low-self-esteem and trust issues. We are damaged and battered by the people we crave to love us. But wait God says you can come as you are, yes with all your mess, with all your imperfections, with your damaged self. He is calling you to come; He wants you as you are. Although you see yourself as a damaged goods, with all that you’ve done, Jesus says He loves you. He loves your flaws, He loves your damaged heart, and He loves you as you are. He will take you as His bride, He will wash and cleanse you, dress you in righteousness. He will marry you and you will be one with Him.

He won’t be ashamed of you.

So, start a relationship with Him. Love is in love with you. Know that your deepest yearnings and longings can be met only by a renewed fellowship with the One in whose image you were created, God.

P.S. God loves you.

I am Afraid…

I am afraid of the unknown God…

I sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears

Psalm 34:4 NLT

What is fear?

Fear is unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain or harm. It is also a feeling of anxiety concerning the outcome of something or the safety of someone.

We all have feared something at some point in our lives  or maybe you are worried about something right now. You see, fear is an unpleasant emotion, it literally consume everything you’ve ever believed in, but you don’t have to let it though, you can choose to go to God with all your fears and leave it there at His feet.  It’s that easy!

You can do this because of Jesus. You can now boldly enter God’s presence because you are born again. Jesus paid the price.

…I tell you the truth, anything you ask of the Father in My name, He will give to you.

John 16:23 VOICE

Just picture yourself now entering the throne room of God Almighty, as you approach His seat, take off the garment of fear, get rid of all the fear of failure, fear of your past, fear of your present and your future. Tell God you don’t need it, it’s useless to your faith, then place it at His feet and leave it there.

I know it’s not an easy thing to do not to be anxious about anything but trust the Word of God that says “be anxious for nothing”  Philippians 4:6

God is your guard, He will guard you from all failures. Psalm 121:8  He will guard you now, guard you always, He promised to guard you from all evil-danger and He will guard your very life.

Don’t you know you are precious to the Father?!

There is no fear in His presence, so approach Him now, sought the Lord and He will deliver you from all your fears. He will set you free because you believe in JESUS Christ His son.

Jesus has set you free from all fears the very first moment you believed in Him.

So if the son sets you free, you are truly free.” John 8:36

Be free from all FEARS.

Say this short prayer with me,

Thank You Jesus for the shackles of fear that You have removed from my heart, in Jesus name.

I love you as always,
