Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His presence continually!

1 Chronicles 16:11 ESV

From personal experience, I know that my prayer life can tends to be very shallow unless I deliberately and intentionally make the effort to deepen and develop it on daily basis.

Prayer is the chief exercise of faith.

Prayer was central to Abraham’s life.

What a simple yet fundamental principle that is as necessary for our spiritual life. Prayer must be central to our lives if we are serious about staying strong on this journey.

If you are feeling spiritually weak the hardest part is to identify what it is that keeps you from bringing your heart under the authority of the word of God. The easiest way to do this is to ask yourself why.

“Why don’t I want to pray?”

It might take a few minutes of reflection to work out what it is.

Once you’ve identified it, the next step is simple but difficult.

Confess that to the Lord as sin. When we see a sin for what it is and submit it to God then the power of that sin is broken and we are able to re-engage with the Lord.

“Our busy schedules aren’t keeping us from prayer, our hearts are.”
