“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”

2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV

A promise is of no more value than is the ability of the one who makes it to carry through. It also includes willingness to do so.

Promise; a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that guarantees that a particular thing will happen.

As we’ve read above, the promises of God are yes and amen. God is not a man that He should lie. He doesn’t get too excited and gets carried away with the spur of the moment. He is not like us. If He said, He will do it!

I don’t know what promises you have received from God this year either from prophesies, visions, dreams etc. I want to encourage you today friends, it shall come to pass. I believe it! He has never failed me yet and He won’t start now. He will come through. He is going to show Himself strong. Just keep on trusting Him. I know that is easier said than done. However, it is not actually. Focus on Him and He will renew your strength while you are waiting. Set your eyes on Him and Him alone.

The thing about God is this, at the last minute, when you feel like giving up then BOOM! He shows up! You have heard the phrase, “last minutes dot com”. God has a way of showing up, blowing up our minds, doing more than we have boxed Him. Why? Because He is God Almighty. You and I cannot box God. He is God. This is why He is “I AM that I AM”.

In the story of Lazarus, we see Jesus doing what He does best. Jesus brought Lazarus back to life four days after his burial. In John 11: 1- 44.

I want us to focus on three main verses in this chapter; 25, 25 and 40.

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.

Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”

Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”

Believe bro! Believe sis!

He is consistent and always will be. He is dependable. He is capable. He is reliable. He is a promise keeper.

People do change their mind, and they do break their promises. God promises are Yes and Amen which means if He said it, He will fulfill it come rain or sunshine. He will never break a promise.

I will leave you with this; “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV
